Scarab symbolism: Known as a sign of royalty, protection, and resurrection in Ancient Egypt, the Scarab beetle represented a similar concept of 'new life' in Ancient China.

Size: The black leather skull choker necklace comes in your choice of 14" or 16" length but you can add 2" wiggle room with the handy extender chain. It has a lobster clasp closure. The "Whimsigothic jewelry" Scarab measures 33 mm (just under 1 3/8") long and 20 mm (just over 3/4") wide.

All metal is golden brass. The chain is leather with brass clasps and an extender chain.
